Contentious Matters
- Takahashi & another v. Cheng Zhen Shu & Others (2011) 14 HKCFAR 558. Appearing as junior counsel in an appeal before the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal concerning whether an enrichment was “at the expense of” the plaintiff and whether it was “unjust”.
- Carewins Development (China) Ltd. v. Bright Fortune Shipping Ltd. (2009) 12 HKCFAR 185. Appearing as junior counsel in an appeal before the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal concerning the nature of straight bills of lading and the construction of exemption clauses.
- First Commercial Bank, Ltd. v. Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd. [2010] 2 HKLRD 254. Appearing before the Hong Kong Court of Appeal concerning the interpretation of provisions in UCP 600 Representing majority shareholders and minority shareholders (including state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and individuals) in cross-border investment and shareholders disputes (including winding up petitions based on the just and equitable clause, unfair prejudice petitions and arbitrations).
- Representing creditors in winding up petitions (including winding up petitions relating to Evergrande, Kaisa, Jiayuan and China Beidahuang).

- Assisting banks and bank officers in handling investigations by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority regarding mis-selling.

- Acting for directors of listed companies in cases involving mandatory general offer obligations under the Takeovers Code.
- Providing comprehensive retainer legal services to Hong Kong subsidiaries of state-owned enterprises, including providing assistance in recovering offshore debts and responding to investor complaints.
