Ms Ying Wu is a partner of Hui Zhong Law Firm. She graduated from Renmin University of China (LLB) and China Foreign Affairs University (LLM). She has intensive experience in cross border dispute resolution. She specializes in handling foreign-related commercial disputes governed by the Chinese courts, Chinese arbitration institutions and international arbitration institutions and managing overseas litigation proceedings. Ms Wu previously worked for two leading international law firms for many years and has maintained long term cooperation with various foreign law firms. She has Represented many domestic and foreign clients in a wide range of disputes, including financing, international trade, joint venture, bank guarantee, and EPC disputes. Ms Wu served as the ICC YAF (Young Arbitrators Forum) Representative of North Asia from 2021-2023.
- Representing a Chinese SOE to commence an ICC arbitration under an international sales contract, which was governed by CISG and PRC law.
- Representing a Chinese SOE to defend in two HKIAC arbitrations commenced by an international fund under the investment agreements. The arbitrations were governed by PRC law and HK law.
- Advising a Chinese syndicate on commencing HKIAC arbitrations relating to one guarantee deed and two share pledge deeds.
- Advising a Chinese company on resolving disputes under two distribution agreements. The agreements were subject to ICC and HKIAC arbitration.
- Representing a Chinese SOE to commence a SIAC arbitration under an equipment supply contract, which was governed by English law.
- Representing a Chinese SOE to commence a SIAC arbitration under an EPC contract signed with a Cambodian company, which was governed by English law.
- Representing China GezhoubaGroup in an on-demand bond dispute against UniCredit: assisted the client in the proceedings before Shanghai Financial Court and the Ravenna Court. In the offshore proceedings, the team successfully revoked the injunction issued by the Ravenna Court. In the domestic proceedings, the team successfully rejected UniCredit's objection to Shanghai Financial Court's jurisdiction, obtained the ruling confirming that the injunction issued by the Italian court should not be recognized and enforced in China.
- Representing a Chinese policy bank on debt collection, which involved two CIETAC arbitrations. One arbitration was conducted in Chinese and one in English.
- Representing a Chinese policy bank on debt collection, which involved Chinese court proceedings, BVI and Cayman Islands liquidation proceedings and Hong Kong arbitration.
- Representing the founder of a video technical service provider to defend the claims brought by an investor. The investment agreement was governed by Chinese law and subject to CIETAC arbitration.
- Representing an international retail company to defend against the claims under a lease contract. The contract was governed by PRC law and subject to CIETAC arbitration.
- Representing an autonomous driving company to defend against the claims under a financial advisory agreement. The agreement was governed by PRC law and subject to CIETAC arbitration.
- Representing a state-owned investment fund to defend against the claims brought by its partner following the breakdown of a mining project in Africa. The agreement was governed by PRC law and subject to BAC arbitration.
- Representing a Chinese SOE fund to seek interim relief in China to support its Hong Kong arbitration.

- Representing a Chinese SOE to apply for suspending the payment under the independent bank guarantees on the ground of fraud.

- Representing an SOE to defend in a local court proceeding commenced by the sub-supplier of an overseas EPC project.
